Friends, today is on our list. Even if there is almost no snow in the Northern capital, in the suburbs and quite the opposite – the imperial palaces and parks are hiding in the snow. During your winter holidays in St. Petersburg, be sure to plan a walk in one of them and enjoy!
Gatchina is known for its beautiful palace and park ensemble, erected in the 18th-19th centuries. The picturesque area is fascinating – the city is located in the area of Silver, Black and White Lakes. And the Priory palace with its red spiers on a white background looks absolutely fabulous!

Perhaps the sleeping cascades of fountains of majestic Peterhof seem too lifeless, but in the park next to it, Alexandria, everything looks completely different. In winter, the park is filled with romance – a real island of snow-white Gothic!

Pavlovsk is similar to a sentimental landscape, suddenly realizing itself as a real nature. And Pavlovsky Park is a whole collection of unique species merging into one continuous elegiac picture. The local park ensemble is one of the most ambitious in Europe.

Monrepos Park in Vyborg
This park is called rocky, and its rocks, carved by a kilometer thick glacier, are fantastic. Every corner of it causes inspiration, admiration and pacification. In the last century, Monrepos was turned into a nature reserve, but it still openly opens the doors to all nature lovers, they say that some sources in the park are healing, and among the trees there is no, no and the nymph guardian Silmiya flashes.
